Airports all feel the same

As I travel a lot with work, I’ve often noticed that the majority of modern airports ‘feel’ the same. In fact, without looking out of the windows it would be hard to tell some Asian airports apart.

It turns out part of the homogeneity is due to the same airport symbols being used. It’s not something you think about until it’s pointed out, then it’s an ‘of course!’ realisation

The first one puzzles me though. Policeman contemplates broken leg? IS this some sort of Zen thing. Are we in China Dorothy?

More like Policeman contemplates breaking legs of anyone of the wrong colour/religion/look if he feels like it, all under the guise of \’security\’.

    I feel safer already.

That\’s one of the good things about asian airports, they haven\’t yet fallen for the security theatre approach to making us safe.

    PS Technically, it`s `Customs`

And the second one? This way to blow big bubbles?

All I can say is that I’m glad I limit myself to the occasional long weekend in Worthing or the Cotswolds. None of your nasty foreign signs there I can assure you, although some of the pubs have their privvies marked “Bouys” and “Gulls”. Suffice it to say this is more common in Worthing than it is in the Cotswolds.
