And as you know well, I'm not in need of advanced sarcasm. I'll stick with my tried-and-tested basic sarcasm thank you very much. Oh, and I think I have an opening in my diary in March.... 2045. Try drawing a matrix and dividing tasks into "Should do", "Want to do", "Have to do" and "Need to do" Examples - I "should" send Christmas cards etc, but I'm not going to. The "Should do" quadrant largely consists of chores of a morally and socially imperative nature. Washing up is another good example. I "Want to" go to the pub, buy expensive toys, go back to bed etc. Not always practically possible, but a first choice activity. Always driven by base desires. "Want to" will often be driven by the desire to either eat, drink or shag something. "Have to" - Work stuff. Nuff said. Your life won't end, but life will get a lot more complicated and difficult if you don't. "Have to" is the worst category and consequently the fullest one. "Need to" - The building is on fire and I "need to" get out. Basic survival stuff. "Need to" doesn't take up a lot of space, but it is best to prioritise "need to" over anything else. Actually I just made all this up because I need to do some work, but wanted to write nonsense instead. With a bit of sanding, it might start to make some sense though.
