You’re right about my feelings towards marketing people, but wrong about the company. It’s a series of .com startups that share offices in New York.
Sigh….. I remember the good old days… working at a .com startup. The long hours, the lack of regular pay, the clients shouting at you all the time, being lied to by the boss…. hang on. The old days suck!
but most of them work for a company called creative ventures - although they’re “new media”, they still have titles like “Creative Director” - they’re start-ups, but not as we know it…!
Don’t forget all the empty promises of hiring developers to help (after firing all of the developers we had), the all nighters cause the boss destroyed the server while ‘playing’ with it, and the bouts of food poisoning from the dodgy chinese up the road. Oh yeah, and the so called friends who watched a kid steal someone’s bike!
For the last time…. the bike had already been stolen by the time that I saw it! But I do remember thinking “Hmmmm Mike has a bike like that” as the kid rode past me. Perhaps it should have been “Hmmm Mike HAD a bike like that”

yes, they have more fun, but you have to remember that they work for an ad agency, and you HATE ad and marketing people!
